MidAmericans David Sokol, BYDs Wang, and company advisor Li Lu flew with Sokol from Detroit to Omaha so that Wang could meet Buffett in person. And Wang stresses that BYD, unlike Sony and Sanyo, has never faced a recall of its batteries. GMs fate has less to do with the new CEO than with the restructuring model the government is using.
