For corporate automobiles that also see private use, benefit-in-kind taxes are calculated as a perk on top of the base salary. But things aren’t quite as simple as that in the United Kingdom. Previous rates didn’t even include battery powered automobiles. Normal to my American eyes thus far.

In Tokyo, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) formally announced the introduction of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid—the plug-in version of the third-generation Prius gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle—into key markets. In Europe, TMC will lease approximately 200 units, with approximately 100 going to the City of Strasbourg, France.
