Even though the range is less than I expected, I am really enjoying showing the conversion to people and their shock when I open the rear deck to expose the engine conpartment.

At these prices, people are buying the "environmental feature" -- they want to be among the first owners of the worlds cleanest extended-range vehicles. PHEVs with "Good Enough to Get Started" batteries. We will have similar solutions available for better (but more expensive) nickel-metal hydride or lithium-ion batteries.)
