In 2001 I began driving an electric car, obtaining the last of the ZEV mandate-required EVs. As I got turned on to the benefits and technological readiness of electric cars, the writing was on the wall and EVs began to disappear from California's roads. I was thrilled.

Bush proposes $81 million, which includes $17 million for plug-in hybrid battery grants. Honestly, much as I want the federal and state efforts to move toward batteries and electricity, we don't really need pure "research." We need cars. As did most if not all of the electric cars produced in the '90s.)

Following last week’s government announcement of £5,000 electric vehicle (EVs) subsidies, leading electric car retailer, evstores have confirmed a huge growth in enquiries for their electric MyCar city vehicle. Starting from less than £10k our cars do not need a subsidy to make sense. What do you think?
