GM says it is already looking ahead to the next generation of Volt-based vehicles — it unveiled the Cadillac Converj concept in January — and says costs will come down as the technology spreads to more models. 80 miles was the range of the EV1 with Lead Acid batteries, that GM tried to use because they wanted the project to fail.
