If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. The big deal was that the oil industry saw real competition and persuaded GM to abandon the project and crush them all like cans. GM cant do it but a 15 year old chinese car company can.now thats funny! Never again.
