BMW has yet to finalize pricing for the production version of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer with plug-in hybrid drive. Once the speed exceeds approximately 80 km/h (50 mph) or under strong acceleration, the engine cuts in automatically. Under normal loads, the vehicle initially sets off purely on electric power.
