Honda targeting 100% BEV & FCEV sales in N America by 2040; new e:Architecture EVs coming in second half of this decade

In Japan, Honda will strive for a BEV/FCEV sales share of 20% by 2030, 80% by 2035 and 100% by 2040. Including hybrid-electric vehicles, it will strive to electrify 100% of its automobile unit sales in Japan by 2030. With this aim, Honda will be starting development for testing in Japan from this year.

European Auto Manufacturers Agree on First Phase of Specifications to Connect Plug-ins to the Grid

The European automobile manufacturers have agreed to a first phase of joint specifications to connect electrically chargeable vehicles to the electricity grid in a safe and user-friendly way. Current Phase 2 agreements include: Vehicle inlet. Harmonized solution, using Mode 3 charging, will apply for new types starting 2017.

Honda launches new “Green Path” initiatives for manufacturing and operations; new $210M paint line at Marysville with new 4C2B process
