France’s auto industry is probably the largest Western auto industry that goes completely under the radar in the US. I finally got hold of reported total bus fleets and bus replacement rates in Europe. For reference, in Europe, whose overall bus fleet size seems 2-3x smaller than China’s, somewhere around 2-2.5k
