The switched reluctance (SR) motor-based SpeedStart and TIGERS technology are being incorporated into the recently announced Advanced Diesel Electric Powertrain project known as ADEPT. Vehicle electrification and in particular mild hybridization of a conventional powertrain at 48V is a rapid growth area for the automotive industry.
