Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. So I think its a safe bet for GM.
