Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem.
