cheaper (frame, electric motors, battery), lasts longer (less moving parts = less to break and maintain) and just a greater win, more future compatible too. why would the auto company be in cahoots with the oil companies on this topic? because most of GMs profits comes from after market parts. GM never wanted the EV1 to succeed.
