At levels ‘D2’, ‘D3’ and ‘B’, the deceleration via regenerative braking is so strong that in this case the brake lights automatically come on. When regenerative braking is used at level ‘D2’ or above the brake lights therefore automatically come on. If the battery is fully charged, no regenerative braking occurs. The e-Golf.
