More than 150 charging stations for EVs are now being installed in the State through Coulomb’s $37-million ChargePoint America Department of Energy program. Drivers of the BMW ActiveE will be able to recharge their electric vehicle at any ChargePoint Network-enabled electric vehicle charging station in the US.

US DOE Awards $300 Million in Clean Cities Grants to Support Alternative Fuels, Vehicles, and Infrastructure Development

The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG). The project will deploy 554 alternative fuel and hybrid electric vehicles and install 153 alternative fueling and electric vehicle charging stations throughout the Chicago region.
