Hyundai fast-tracks start of EV production in the US as it gains recognition with its own day

Hyundai initially planned to begin production early next year, but the automaker is plowing ahead with the $7,500 federal tax credit on the line. It even tops Rivian’s $5 billion EV factory outside of Atlanta. And that was without its electric models qualifying for the $7,500 EV tax credit (only through a leasing loophole).

Rivian R2 teased, Tank Flip shelved

Rivian on Friday supplied the primary tease of its R2, a smaller follow-up to the automaker’s R1T electrical pickup and R1S electrical SUV due in 2026. The coated clay type has the similar boxy profile because the R1S SUV, however apparently to be just a little smaller. We grabbed a screenshot in case that doesn’t occur.
