Hedging its own bets, Chrysler is calling the concept reveal an “advance look at one potential path” to the brand’s all-electric future. Yes, that means there will be a trio of teasers for a concept car which, by definition, is itself a teaser. Few companies play that particular game like Stellantis, it must be said. One can hope.

I t wasn't that long ago that I remember a Chrysler ad that bragged about how its new Charger, with the big V 8, was a hybrid. Now, the very ungreen Chrysler is changing its tune. In the last few weeks, not only has Chrysler made announcements, so has Mazda, Hyundai, and Nissan. it burned gas and rubber.

The fleet models will be part of a test bed for Toyota and future development of the plug-in Prius may at some point lead to a consumer model. The upcoming plug-in Prius will use the traditional nickel metal hydride battery system, but future versions will likely see the addition of a lithium ion battery pack.
