ConnectDER and Siemens Partner to offer a simple and clever solution for Level 2 charging installations

Under the new agreement, ConnectDER will supply Siemens with a proprietary plug-in adapter for EV chargers. According to ConnectDER, the adapter will allow an EV charger to be installed in 15 minutes, and avoiding the need for electric panel upgrades could save a customer as much as 60 to 80 percent of the charger installation cost.

Prior to AMPLY, I founded and ran a company called Green Charge Networks, which over the span of eight or nine years became the largest distributed energy storage provider in the country. I went on to head up Engie’s global energy storage practice for a couple of years prior to starting AMPLY. So it’s already in place.
