Incentives Generally, the highest-dollar methods of reducing the start-up costs of installing electric vehicle charging stations come from incentives and rebates. This is the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit. The California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project offers dozens of different rebate programs.

I have yet to hear how these costs might be allocated toward the different types of fueling infrastructure, but my best guess is that perhaps $5 billion of the $7.5 So with that out of the way, let’s get back to the question of “How many electric vehicle charging stations will $10 billion buy for America?”.
