The goal is to bring down the cost of green hydrogen until it becomes competitive with fossil fuels in many applications in the next five years. The hydrogen market is on the verge of a revolution.

The US and China take the lead in scaling up the technology, given their large markets, tech-friendly regulatory environments and industry giants, such as Google and the State Grid Corporation of China. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait might, and should be encouraged to do so.
