This year Nissan will export the South African built Navara pickup trucks to new markets of Algeria, Libya, Sudan, Tunisia and Egypt, Nissan Africa product Marketing Director Stefan Haasbroek said. Nissan’s e-Power technology system includes a petrol engine with a power generator, inverter, battery and an electric motor.

The first two vehicles will be the SEAT Tarraco and the CUPRA Ateca, which are going on sale at the end of 2018. The company operates in more than 80 countries, but only 15% of sales are made outside Europe. The EV launch comes as part of a product offensive, in which SEAT will launch one new car every six months until 2020.
