So if my math and estimates are close to correct, roughly 27 million households living in single-family homes cannot pull into their garage and plug in and charge an electric vehicle. In cold temperatures EV batteries take longer to charge and are less efficient, and will see reduced range as drivers turn up their heaters and seat warmers.
