The Sonet, Kia India’s first compact SUV, has driven past 300,000-unit sales in the domestic market. It is Kia’s second best-seller after the Seltos (459,462 units) launched in August 2019. The Sonet’s sales reflect its strong contribution to Kia India’s overall sales.

Ford has exported more than 100,000 trucks and SUVs from China to Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and exports the Lincoln Nautilus to the US. Hyundai and Kia will soon begin selling made-in-China cars in Korea and other markets. Stellantis invested $1.7 billion in Leapmotor last year to build vehicles for export.
