In E Ink’s Triton and Kaleido displays, color filters turn light reflected from white particles into red, green, and blue subpixels. When we applied a charge to move the white particles to the surface at a selected spot, the light would bounce back to the viewer through the red, green, or blue filter above it. James Provost.
