The NEXO is Hyundai’s flagship vehicle and improves upon the Tucson FCEV. The NEXO Blue model has an estimated driving range of 380 miles, 115 more than its predecessor. The NEXO Limited trim has an estimated range of 354 miles. NEXO hydrogen storage uses three separate hydrogen tanks in the rear of the vehicle.

Hydrogen energy is the key to building a more sustainable society. Hyundai Motor Company has already taken a lead in hydrogen technology with introduction of Tucson fuel cell. Improving upon the Tucson FCEV, the NEXO has an estimated driving range of 370 miles, 105 miles more than its predecessor.

The FE Concept showcases Hyundai Motor’s fourth-generation of hydrogen fuel cell technology, an evolution of research, development and real-world evaluation programs around the world. When compared with the current generation system used in the Tucson ix35 Fuel Cell, the new technology is 20% lighter, and achieves 10% greater efficiency.

NEXO will be available in California before the end of 2018. It joins Hyundai’s successful new Kona, Tucson and Santa Fe in a full line-up of Hyundai crossovers for the US market. Hyundai estimates the range to be 258 miles. The NEXO Limited trim has an estimated range of 354 miles. Kona Electric.
