At CES 2016, Volkswagen unveiled the battery-electric BUDD-e van. Volkswagen’s new MEB platform is designed to enable a series production car to have pure electric range that is on par with today’s gasoline-powered cars by the end of the decade. It powers two electric motors, one to drive each axle.
