Honda’s 2015 Civic Hybrid and Civic Natural Gas vehicles are joining the already released 2015 Civic Sedan, Civic Coupe and Civic Si in showrooms in the US. The 2015 Civic Hybrid launches at Honda dealers nationwide on November 5 with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $24,735.

Due in part to Honda’s ability to advance fuel economy through conventional engine technology, the Civic lineup will no longer include a hybrid or a natural gas model, according to John Mendel, Executive Vice President, Automobile Division American Honda Motor Co., Both of these products with the end of the 2015 model year.

Preliminary estimates from the National Safety Council (NSC) indicate motor vehicle deaths were 9% higher through the first six months of 2016 than in 2015, and 18% higher than two years ago at the six month mark. Californians purchasing a new Civic Natural Gas vehicle are now eligible for an immediate California Energy Commission $1,000 purchase credit supplied directly by certified Honda Civic Natural Gas dealers at the time of purchase. Per California’s AB 266, the expiration date for the white stickers has been extended to 1 January 2019.
