It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. Blending the MPG of SUVs and small cars understates the real consumption and rewards automakers for building gas hogs and unsafe micro cars which makes people want to buy "safe" gas hogs. The Democrats have reached too far.
