It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Engineering proptypes enjoy a tax break. We are addicted to the gasoline tax both at the State and Federal level.
