Renault and Nissan are determined to establish an early lead in the new massmarket for electric cars. Both companies will offer a range of electricvehicles for public sale from 2012. Witha 60-mile range, most felt the need to recharge after 30 miles or so. So the car uses an electrical store to power the drive motor.
