Nonetheless, hydrogen fuel cell cars are, like pure battery powered cars, classed as Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV). Hence its supply would not be cheap, renewable nor sustainable in the long term. A hydrogen powered transport industry has been termed the “alternative-energy red herring” (Fletcher , S. 2020) [11].
