The automaker has already begun idling auto plants and is warning of future closures to pay for its transition to EVs and to try to keep EV prices affordable. The EV battery start-up company SPARKZ is going to fill its worker needs in its planned West Virginia plant by recruiting and retraining laid off coal miners.
