As oil prices decreased in the 1990s, the consumer acceptance of hydrous ethanol fueled cars greatly decreased and purchases of gasoline fueled automobiles returned to previous levels. It is possible to use gasoline C made with hydrated ethanol (AEHC) with minimum risk of phase separation due to Brazilian climate conditions.
