The GridWise smart-grid trial in the Seattle area in 2007 found that consumers lowered their energy use by 10 percent and utilities were able to shave their peak demand by 15 percent. Create cheap clean energy, new badly needed green jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. He states this as a positive of his program.
