After facing some questionable criticism about its manufacturing processes and how green the Toyota Prius really is, the Japanese manufacturer has hit back with a Press release highlighting its environmentally focused manufacturing. It aims to eventually cut this amount down to zero.

Electric trucks created in Washington, Tyne & Wear are today on the roads of Washington DC. Four major US corporations and two utility companies took delivery of the Smith Newton, the largest road-going electric truck in North America. Newton was launched in the UK by Smith Electric Vehicles in 2006.
