EISA sets the first US mandatory lifecycle GHG reduction thresholds for renewable fuel categories, as compared to those of average petroleum fuels used in 2005. As required by EISA, the broad system boundaries of the analysis encompass all significant secondary agricultural sector GHG impacts, not only impacts from land use change.
