Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. I had surmised this in my 2002 car design thesis [link] even before anyone was talking about plug in series hybrids. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. Way to go morons.
