Today's Junkyard Find is one of the very last XJ Cherokees ever made, found in a Wyoming car graveyard last week. The Grand Cherokee was supposed to be the XJ Cherokee's replacement, but buyers kept driving XJs out of Jeep showrooms and so Chrysler and, later, DaimlerChrysler kept building them. liter GM 60° V6. liter GM 60° V6.

Acton grew up in Wyoming and spent more than 20 years on the Webb team. None of that technology really existed in 2001, so we started from the ground up with concepts and simple experiments. You build them and they get used, basically, once. Building the Webb was, of course, a big, complicated project. But we did it.
