Automakers make most of their money by selling vehicles to individuals for personal transportation. Abelson noted that through OnStar, GM has been working with connectivity for some 20 years. Last year, GM recorded some 133 million customer-OnStar interactions (100 million in North America, 33 million in China, 83,000 in Europe).
