Prius model doubles February sales despite US troubles
As Toyota hear fresh reports of incidences of runaway Prius models, the carmaker is quick to remind the public of how many satisfied hybrid owners it has.

The next-generation Toyota Prius
The Toyota Prius will, this summer, take its advanced hybrid power technology and environmental leadership on to a higher level.
The new, third-generation Prius will arguably become the world’s most technically advanced mainstream car, and will also help demonstrate the real world benefits of Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive.
System power output has been increased by 22 per cent, from 109 to 134bhp (110 to 136 DIN hp) and, with The Hybrid Synergy Drive (2004 International Engine of the Year, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Green Engine of the Year) has been comprehensively revised and improved, with more than 90 per cent of its components redesigned to create a lighter, more compact system, with a focus on increased power, further reductions in real-world fuel consumption and improved cold weather operation.

Tesla Roadster, Toyota Prius, VW Touareg Crash in Denmark
A Tesla Roadster was involved in a three-way crash with a Volkswagen Touareg and a Toyota Prius earlier this week. Apparently the Roadster was stopped behind the Touareg when the Prius rear-ended the Roadster, pushing it under the SUV. A123 Batteries in Ontario Utility's Prius by Hymotion
Here's the next Prius conversion...this This is the 18th Prius conversion of which we are aware. Plug-in Prius: automobile's future? an electricity distribution company that serves 106,000 customers east of Toronto, wouldn't be the first Ontario executive to drive a Toyota Prius hybrid.

Author Compares Vegan Hummer Driver to Meat Eating Prius Driver, Says Hummer Driver is Better for Environment
His words, "A vegan in a Hummer has a lighter carbon footprint that a beef eater in a Prius." Last week author Michael Pollan made a statement that upset many. Obviously his claim drew immediate criticism, but is there any truth to his words? Well, it turns out that Pollan was indeed wrong across the board.

Chevy Volt's mileage numbers to be released tomorrow
Of course, however, it could be argued that the Toyota Prius followed the same developmental path. Then again, Toyota didn't spend years hyping the Prius before it launched. Tags: Chevy Volt electric vehicle concept toyota priu Yet, you can't buy one for at least another year? Tomorrow, GM will release the Volt's EPA mileage results, which I'm sure will be well over 100 mpg. Still, real world mileage of the Chevy Volt will be heavily dependent upon driving conditions, frequency of charging etc.
