Coulomb Technologies Installs First ChargePoint America EV Charging Station in Michigan
The first ChargePoint America station is now installed at NextEnergy headquarters in downtown Detroit. Coulomb’s ChargePoint America program will provide nearly 5,000 charging stations in nine regions in the United States: Austin, Texas, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Fla., Sacramento, Calif., and Washington DC.

GM’s assembly line delivers bouncing baby Volt
In short, we had a great final shoot in Detroit. Chris Paine and the Revenge crew (Sean, Craig, Jessie, and Jessica) are proud to say that they are among the first film crews ever to professionally film mass production of an EV. Of course, this is mostly because no one has made them in so long.) The baby is 177 inches, 3500 pounds.

Detroit Electric announces a (rough) price guide.
The Detroit Electric company appeared on CNN yesterday to announce that they plan to bring not one, but two EVs to market by 2010. Appearing on the CNN Corner Office Detroit Electric CEO, Albert Lam, announced the pricing and range of the two EVs that his company plans to launch in 2010. Detroit Electric's planned 2010 model.

Detroit electric reborn 70 years on
It was one of the earliest names in electric car manufacturing and now it has been reborn - the Detroit Electric vehicle is receiving a new lease of life courtesy of a Dutch company. The original Detroit Electric line was built from 1907 to 1939 gaining popularity because the engine didn’t need to be cranked.
