This is exactly what happened when we got our Toyota RAV EV six years ago. The difference with how Nissan is approaching the EV is interesting. I heard today that they expect to have 5,000 Nissan EVs for sale by the end of 2010. No charger, no car. So, it appears most, if not all of the cars will be delivered in June.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. It is probably a real rocket compared to the Daimler version that will eventually show up.
