Using current technologies, all evaluated biofuel, battery electric, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle pathways offer significant C2G GHG emissions reduction compared to the current gasoline internal combustion engine vehicle. When fueled by hydrogen produced from landfill gas, the total dropped to 117 g CO 2 e/mi.

California, 6 automakers finalize bilateral Clean Car Framework agreements

Ninth annual Green Innovation Index finds California light-duty vehicle emissions spike; major challenge to 2030 climate goals

Job growth between 2006 and 2015 in California outpaced rates experienced prior to 2006, and outpaced total US employment gains by 27%. On an absolute basis, California’s total GHG emissions fell only slightly in 2015, down 0.34% from 2014. At the same time, per capita emissions in the state decreased by 12%.

California ARB approves ACC II rule; 100% of LDVs to be PHEVS, ZEV by 2035; LEV IV emissions requirements

The California Air Resources Board approved the Advanced Clean Cars II (ACC II) rule. The rule establishes a year-by-year roadmap so that by 2035 100% of new cars and light trucks sold in California will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

Phillips 66 files LCFS pathway applications for renewable gasoline, CIs from 30.9 to 63.4 gCO2e/MJ

Phillips 66 Company has applied for three California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Tier 2 fuel pathways for renewable gasoline derived from soybean oil and canola oil. Phillips 66 also filed a separate application for renewable gasoline derived from distiller’s corn oil which is processed along with soybean oil and canola oil.
