ŠKODA collaborates with IBG ?esko on second-life battery energy storage system; up to 328 kWh

The system stores sustainably generated electricity in used batteries that come from the all-electric SUV ŠKODA ENYAQ iV as well as the plug-in hybrid models SUPERB iV and OCTAVIA iV. So far, 160 pre-orders have been received from dealers in the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovakia.

Skoda to set up second life battery hubs to power its retailers

The company has also received 160 pre-orders for the power hubs from its dealers in Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and Slovakia. That will help the system to store a total capacity of 328 kWh which can be used to fast-charge customer vehicles by up to 150 kW. This electric SUV is inspired by the Vision iV concept.

SEAT pushes forward with CNG line-up

The Ibiza, the Arona and the Leon are produced at the SEAT plant in Martorell, Spain, while the Mii Ecofuel is manufactured at the Bratislava plant in Slovakia. Although CNG is stored at high pressure, (approximately 200bar), the storage tanks are built and homologated to withstand more than twice their maximum working pressure.
