Now, power consumption is usually measured in kilowatt hours and this would be the number of kilowatts (a kilowatt is 1000 watts) consumed by a device, in the case of EV charging that would be the amount of power going into the batteries, in a one hour period. Some industrial sites are even set up with 440V 3 phase service.
