The extended range electric vehicle drive system by Raser Technologies and its development partner FEV is targeted at providing up to 40 miles all-electric range for SUVs and light trucks. A 100 kW Rase Symetron generator, driven by a GM Ecotec 2.0L Preliminary road testing of the HUMMER EREV showed 50 miles all-electric range.

Green Star to Demonstrate Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle

OTC: GSPI) announced today that within the next four weeks it plans to publicly test its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The company expects to demonstrate that during an eight hour delivery day simulation this plug-in hybrid vehicle can exceed 150 miles while exhibiting an efficiency of over 75 mpg (miles per gallon).
