Higher levels of regen allow the driver to slow the vehicle almost to a stop (with “B”), while recharging the battery. In the diagram above, the area for that is designated as “Kleinserie” (“small series”), an area in which Volkswagen also works on specialty vehicles such as taxis, emergency responder vehicles, etc. Soeren Hinze.
