EVs Improve Public Health Transportation emissions are the leading source of air pollution in the U.S. A recent study looked at ZIP codes and found that as more EVs were registered in those zip codes, local air pollution levels and emergency room visits dropped. Many EV models are eligible for up to $7,500 in income tax credits.

Kentucky Clean Fuels Coalition’s Hybrid Electric School Buses Provide New Horsepower for Kentucky. The project will replace 190 older diesel school buses with hybrid electric school buses to be used in school districts throughout Kentucky. Total DOE award: $13,181,171. Total DOE award: $12,633,080. Total DOE award: $5,924,190.
