ExxonMobil announces significant oil discovery at Whiptail, offshore Guyana

ExxonMobil said it made a discovery at Whiptail in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana. The Liza Destiny floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel is currently producing about 120,000 barrels of oil per day. The Unity has a production capacity of approximately 220,000 barrels of oil per day.

British and Brazilian companies to install bioethanol demo plant in Guyana

The two will install the units for a bioethanol demonstration plant at the Guyana Sugar Corporation (Guysuco) Albion Sugar Factory, and will be delivering a turnkey unit early next year. After detailed studies it was concluded that locally produced biofuels could have a positive impact in Guyana.
