This project started about a month ago when I became co-chair of the Oregon Electric Vehicles Association. While people can purchase neighborhood electric vehicles today for about $10K, they only have a top speed of 35 miles an hour or so, essentially glorified golf-carts.

Price tag: about $25,000, made from 95% recyclable materials with a top speed of 65 miles per hour and range of 110 miles per charge. Kulongoski, Oregon as the electric-car manufacturer may be eyeing the “green” city of Portland. They are also useless if you ever need to drive over 100 to 200 miles in one trip.
